Zeffi's Bio
Zeffi Kefala is a native Greek who has been living in the U.S. for the past twenty-four years. At the age of nine, she was able to read cards for her mother's friends and things would occur that she predicted—but for her at the time it was all in fun. Her life would take many turns before coming back to her gifts.
Her spiritual journey began in 1987 as her entire life was turned upside down following the 1987 stock market crash and the dissolution of her marriage. Working in the fashion industry at the time, as well as a night club owner in Washington DC, her life was that of a typical American, strongly focused on the material world with little attention being paid to spirituality. After her material world was shattered she started meditation classes. It was not a place where she was immediately comfortable. When her visions first started she thought she was going a bit crazy but as she further understoood the imagery she was experiencing, she started to trust them. For three years after this she studied extensively, trying to figure out her path and what gifts she had to bring to this life. The path wasn't easy because she came from a very different background and it was hard for her to balance the spiritual and material world. She went from one extreme of materialism to the oppostie extreme of being very spiritual, but she eventually found balance in the middle. The constant struggle that many people on the spiritual path find with accepting the material goods life has to offer, and vice versa, is something Zeffi understands on a very fundamental level.
Currently residing in Sedona, Arizona, Zeffi is an accomplished and experienced healer whose work has taken her over the last 13 years to Asia, Europe, and the U.S. The knowledge she acquired in these regions ranges from Hinduism, Buddhism, & Tibetan, to Native American and has brought her to a deeper understanding of the human psyche and traditions. She first studied with Philippine teachers learning the Sacred Art of Healing. Her teachers had noticed her gift as a medical intuitive and helped her develop those abilities. Early on she had the ability to pinpoint illness within the body through meditation, which has continually evolved over time to that of being a conscious channel.
In 1996, Zeffi decided to devote all of her energies to her healing, teaching, and psychic abilities on a professional level. In 1998, she was invited to do healings and readings in Japan. While there, they went to holy Mountain Kuriyama where Reiki originated. As a gift to her Japanese sponsor, she offered to give her Reiki I and the next day, before leaving for the mountain, five other Japanese students decided to join them and asked for the Reiki teaching as well. After that, Zeffi devoted a great deal of time to teaching Reiki all over the world, which resulted in her forming the first official Reiki Center in Greece. She still serves as President of the Athens Reiki Center.
As a Reiki Karuna Master, medical intuitive, psychic, and spiritual counselor, her private sessions include a combination of healing techniques including pranic healing; opening of spiritual awareness; chakra balancing and clearing; crystal healing with etheric weavers; balancing of body, mind, and spirit; and long-distance healing.
